One of the most famous secret levels in games is the level with a hidden cow in Diablo 2, which Blizzard added to the game after the fans of the first game unsuccessfully tried to find it. Since then, Blizzard returns to this joke from time to time, adding secret levels to games such as Diablo 3 and World of Warcraft, which makes people ask the question of whether the secret level is hidden in the recent Diablo 4.

If you followed the progress of developing the game before its release, you know that Blizzard tried to close any possibility of a secret level with a cow in Diablo 4. The General Manager of the Rod Fergyusson in an interview explained a couple of weeks ago that the team wanted to make a game "as mundane as possible", clearly stating that "There is no secret level in Diablo 4 that people could look".

You probably will not be too surprised to learn that this statement did not stop fans of Diablo massively take up the search: on the official page of the game on Reddit, an extensive topic, full of potential tips, recently appeared on Reddit. The author of the topic is U/altnob, which collected images of certain objects and events in the world of Diablo 4 as evidence that Blizzard is lying and that the game really has a hidden level with a cow.

At the moment, the most convincing evidence was obtained from the game files where two unknown quest items were discovered, each of which has a rather mysterious description. These items – "Musty Tome" And "Bloody Wooden Shard" With "Roughly cut w", – Both have ID Quest_world_SecretCellar. These items are very reminiscent of Tome of Town Portal and Wirt’s Wooden Leg, which are necessary to access the secret cow level in Diablo 2, and now all the forces are thrown in search of a secret basement in which these items are stored.

In addition to U/Altnob efforts to help in search even a Discord channel, which is jokingly called D4 – Not Finding A Cow Level. Obviously, many players, judging by the name of the channel, do not expect to find any real cow level right now, but sometimes the pursuit can be more exciting than the final result.
